Greycliffe Manor

A residential care home in South Devon, Greycliffe Manor, approached us with a clear but challenging need: to completely renovate their outdated bathroom – that no longer met their comfort, safety or accessibility requirements – and install a new assisted bath that would better serve their residents and staff.

As the home initially struggled to find anyone willing to take on the entire project – from planning to final touches – we stepped in.

Understanding the importance of a functional assisted bathroom in a care environment, we conducted a full on-site survey to assess the space and the care home’s requirements. We then provided the client with a detailed cost breakdown for each aspect of the work, ensuring complete transparency and helping them plan effectively.

With a clear plan in place, we took full responsibility for the bathroom renovation, which included:

  • Removal and disposal of the existing bath
  • Installation of a modern assisted bath
  • Recladding of the walls and painting the ceiling along with other remedial works.

The new assisted bath has significantly improved the bathing experience – it offers great comfort and dignity, with features that support those with limited mobility. The design and refreshed surroundings have also added an extra sense of calm.

We’ve also had fantastic feedback from the client.

Claire Potton at Greycliffe Manor said: “When asked for a quote on a new bath, the information was provided in a very professional way. Harry kept in touch throughout the process to keep me informed. The bath looks lovely.”

This was a fantastic project for our team to work on, and is a strong example of how careful renovation and reliable project management can enhance care home facilities, improving quality of life for residents and creating a more supportive environment for those who care for them.
