A care group from the South-West faced challenges with their existing Assisted Bath, which was proving costly to repair due to the need for numerous new parts. Recognising the inefficiency of repairs and the evolving needs of the care home, they sought our expertise.
Our first step was to assess the old bath at our facilities, where we concluded that a replacement would be more cost-effective. To align with the care home’s current requirements, we collaborated with their team.
We organised a demonstration at their headquarters, involving key stakeholders such as Directors, the Head of Maintenance, and care staff. This interactive session allowed us to explore various options and finalise a specification that met their needs.
Following budget approval, we manufactured the model – the Duporth– with a detachable seat complemented by sensory options for an enhanced user experience. Additionally, we addressed the compatibility issues with the existing hoists by designing bespoke panels, ensuring a seamless integration into the care home environment.
